With the launch of the Connecticut, E.P. Carrillo has now released four out of six cigars in its Essence Series. The first cigars in the line, Sumatra and Maduro, debuted in March 2024, followed by Honduras. The Cameroon and Nicaragua versions are still pending.
Manufactured at the Agroindustrias Diadema factory in Honduras, the Connecticut is the second cigar in the series produced in that country. It features a Connecticut-seed wrapper grown in Ecuador, a Honduran criollo 98 binder, and filler tobaccos from both Honduras and the Dominican Republic.
The blend offers a smooth profile with notes of cream, hay, and a hint of light pepper. It comes in three vitolas:
Corona (5 1/2 x 44) – $8.75 (Box of 24, $210)
Robusto (5 x 50) – $9.25 (Box of 24, $222)
Toro (6 x 52) – $10 (Box of 24, $240)
