great success with their Celebrity Series cigars, offering great flavor for an extremely affordable price. A few years later the company moved production to a modern, state-of-the-art factory in Santiago, Dominican Republic to accommodate their phenomenal growth. Cusano then became even more prominent with the experimental use of the formally Cuban-only Corojo leaf. Cusano's entire product line is made in the Dominican Republic by Hendrik Kelner, the famous master blender from Davidoff to oversee the operation.
The Cusano 18 breaks from the traditional wrapper-binder-filler configuration by using two wrapper leaves and filler instead. The Cusano 18's all-Dominican filler is bound and wrapped with two light brown US Connecticut shade wrappers. Another curiosity about this cigar: the Dominican Gold tobacco in the filler has been aged for 18 years. Today they have a large portfolio of wallet friendly blends.
