Robaina (who sadly passed away in 2010), who is pictured on every box. 
In 1997 this brand was launched. Uniquely it was named after the living figurehead of all Cuban tobacco farmers – Don Alejandro Robaina. A full flavoured Cuban Cigar that deserves its place at the table. It is a testament to all of Cuba’s tobacco growers.
The Vegas Robaina blend is characterized by being medium-strong, amazing construction, beautiful Cuban aroma and a perfect presentation. Most of Mr Robaina’s harvest was indeed destined to be used as wrapper for other Cuban cigars until 1997 and the creation of the marca. The only two vitolas of the current production are the Vegas Robaina Famosos and the Vegas Robaina Unicos but there are many Regional Edition cigars made by Vegas Robaina.
 
 

The Robaina family has farmed tobacco continuously since 1845 on their precious vegas (fields) at Cuchillas de Barbacoa situated in the San Luis zone of the Vuelta Abajo tobacco region.
