J.C. Newman Cigar Co. has begun distributing its latest addition to the Diamond Crown Julius Caeser line: the "Troublemaker." This new cigar format was first introduced in October 2024 with a limited release at 36 Diamond Crown lounges across the U.S., and is now available to retailers nationwide.
The Troublemaker measures 5 3/4 inches in length with a ring gauge of 52 at its widest point and features a softly tapered perfecto shape. The inspiration for this shape came from a vintage cigar poster displayed in the office of Rich Dolak, VP of operations at J.C. Newman and Arturo Fuente. Drew Newman, a fourth-generation member of the founding family, suggested creating a cigar with that same unusual silhouette.
Due to the craftsmanship required to produce this cigar, it earned a cheeky nickname among factory workers. Officially, however, it’s known as "Troublemaker."
The blend features an Ecuadorian wrapper with Dominican binder and filler, in line with the rest of the Julius Caeser series. It is priced at $17 per cigar and comes in boxes of 20 with a leather finish.
