IThe upcoming release, titled Eladio Diaz 72 Aniversario North and South Edition, pays homage to Dominican terroir by using tobaccos sourced from both the northern and southern regions of the country. The blend features a Corojo wrapper grown in San Juan de la Maguana in the south, a Mexican-seed Negro San Andrés binder cultivated in Navarette up north, and a diverse mix of fillers that includes Negrito, Corojo ’99, Criollo ’98, Havana Vuelta Abajo, and Piloto Cubano—originating from both regions.
Packaged in boxes of 12, these 6 1/2 x 52 cigars are priced at $25 each. Only 2,500 boxes are being released, with shipments beginning on May 19.
