For the first time in the brand’s history, Saint Luis Rey introduces a premium cigar line handcrafted in the Dominican Republic. Known for its bold Honduran blends at affordable prices, the brand now takes a refined turn with the launch of Saint Luis Rey Tabacales—a medium-bodied cigar that blends tradition with modern flair.
This new line is a collaborative creation by Rafael Nodal, Vice President of Product Capability at Tabacalera USA, and the renowned Grupo de Maestros from Tabacalera de García, the Dominican factory responsible for iconic cigars like Montecristo, Romeo y Julieta, and H. Upmann. The blend features a Nicaraguan wrapper, a Cameroon binder, and fillers from both Nicaragua and the Dominican Republic (specifically Navarrete). Nodal describes it as “a perfect fusion of old-world sweetness and new-world spice,” offering a balanced and contemporary smoking experience.
Saint Luis Rey Tabacales will be available at retailers in early August, with three sizes priced under $10: Rothchilde (5 x 54, $7.70), Toro (6 x 54, $8.25), and Titan (6 x 60, $8.95). Each size comes in 25- or 50-count boxes, making this an accessible yet elevated addition to any humidor. This release marks a new chapter for the Saint Luis Rey brand, appealing to a broader range of cigar enthusiasts with its Dominican craftsmanship and flavorful blend.
